I can't blog about being an expat, because I'm not, at least not yet. I can't blog about things in Merida. I haven't spent a lot of time in Merida for two years. All I can blog about is the construction of our house. That's all I know about and even most of that is second hand through the wonderful Arturo. I plan on spending the month of December in our new house and I will be pretty busy living with the minimum of 'stuff'. However for those who actually look at this blog, like my sisters and a few friends... let me bore you with some more photos of all the changes of the past week!

Make no apologies! For those of us not as far along as you in the process, these posts are great. We read them carefully, study the pictures, and marvel at the progress! Keep the pictures, and the posts, coming.
ReplyDeleteThanks! Where are you in the process? Have you had some basic designs done or are you still designing in your head? Have you gotten to the 'interview architects' part yet? Your lot is fantastic and I'm sure your results will be stunning!
ReplyDeleteWe are only at the rough sketch stage, but at least we are past the interview part! We are hoping to make progress when we visit in July, but the real question remains when to start actual construction since we are a ways off from any actual move. I plan to keep living vicariously through you guys!

ReplyDeleteThanks! I really like the doors and other wrought iron too. I'm so happy he choose something simple, as we left it up to Roger, the architect! I guess he really got to know us because the simplicity really suits us!
